Position Description:
The Graphic Designer works within the Office of Marketing and Public Relations to promote the College through multimedia communications.
This person is responsible for production of all print and web publications, while ensuring consistency throughout the College's brand within best practices.
This person will also assist with photography, video, and digital branding, in coordination with the Marketing and Public Relations team.
Responsibilities:
Creation and design of marketing and advertising materials including print media, direct mail, publication layout, digital ads, and social media graphics.
Develop and manage strong vendor relationships to fulfill print projects.
Produce creative collateral pieces that support brand and identity guidelines.
Responsible for layout, design, proofing, and sending to print the bi-yearly Chronicle (College magazine) Illustrates new concepts by designing initial layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
Works with vendors to coordinate outside print jobs, secure bids/estimates, and designs.
Keeps accurate records of printing costs and acquires account numbers for payment.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Art, Graphic Design, Marketing or a related field; exceptional experience in a similar field will be considered with an Associate's Degree.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in graphic design.
Provide a strong foundation in design, photography, and communications.
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and experience with Canva.
Experience with photography and videography is helpful.
Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and coordinate multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Must possess an understanding and enthusiasm for the mission and vision of Culver-Stockton College.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (both oral and written).
Strong organizational skills.
Strong writing and proofreading skills An ability, willingness and flexibility to work some nights and weekends during busier seasons of on-campus activities.
